Lenovo – No Official Windows 8 Support for S205 :(

Not Supported

This post is dedicated to Microsoft’s latest operation system: Windows 8.

It looks like even though Lenovo released the Windows 8 drivers for our laptop, they did not function correctly and now they’ve removed them from the support page and on Lenovo’s Windows 8 Upgrade Capable Systems S205 is listed as Not Supported. 😦

UPDATE: I’ve created a post to provide you the Windows 8 Drivers (different sources). The plan is to update this page regularly so it would function as an unofficial S205 – Windows 8 Support Page. I’m going to upload the drivers to Google Drive as well. 🙂

If you still continue having the drivers in your site, everithing is working. I can prove you that Lenovo Energy Management works well and the pc seems having a better fan management, Everything is working great. But as I wrote in the forum, if they put some crappy drivers, is better if they are removed, So normal user don’t have problems.
Is sad that Lenovo knowed for a great support, customer satisfaction and quality seems not able to solve little problem in a 2 year’s old pc as our S205
But if Lenovo Energy management and other win8 drivers are here, well our s205 will run 8 perfectly. It will be great if you try 8 in our pc and get a How To Guide for all users. My english is too poor for doing it. Some other Italian users (Italian Forum) have 8 installed and working 100% with my little suggestions and your driver and program for 8 hosted here in your blog, is a perfect combo 🙂

I foud the real reason why Lenovo drivers are desapeared (even if for s205 are crappy drivers but is not the reason)

“There was a packaging problem that affected many of the Idea Win 8 drivers and we’ve pulled many of the drivers down and are repacking and putting them back. As I understood it, this was going to take a couple weeks to work through all of them.”
